McHenry (aka Mickey) was named after Fort McHenry, a star shaped fort, located in Baltimore, MD. During the War of 1812, this fort was attacked by the British Navy for 25 hours, but because of its solid defense, all the British ammunition was depleted by the morning of Sept. 14th. This successful battle was the inspiration for Francis Scott Key to pen our National Anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner.”

Stop by the FORT or the 2016 shows, to see Mickey, another future herd sire at the FORT with his solid conformation and fine, consistent fleece.
